Prachtige trail met twee bonuskilometers, maar absoluut geen prachtige conditie of benen. Ik ging al kapot bij de blubberpaden in het begin, nog meer tijdens de op-en-neer heuveltjes van een stukje bospad wat voor motorcross gebruikt leek... en dat was op nog niet eens een kwart. Ik was eigenlijk al moe bij de start... want ook nog eens tien kilometer met tegenwind moeten fietsen van station Cuijk.
Uiteindelijk vier uur gedaan over dertig kilometer, dus het was afzien van niveau Bosbokkentrail. En voor het eerst in mijn leven als allerallerlaatste gefinisht in de kou en miezer - maar nog altijd beter als 14e van de 14 binnenkomen dan thuisblijven.
